New on Firebrand Group: LinkedIn’s New “How You Rank” Tool for Personal Branding

As you know, I'm hugely interested in personal branding as a topic. I just posted a new article over on Firebrand Group's blog - LinkedIn’s New “How You Rank” Tool for Personal Branding. Thoughts appreciated!

Dove, LinkedIn's Mobile Strategy, Kenneth Cole Tweets: the Social 6 for 4/19/13

There's nothing in here about Dzokhar Tsarnaev, the world's most awful person, even though that obviously took up a good deal of people's time today. That being said, I tried to keep up with everything else interesting the tech & social media world today, including LinkedIn's mobile ad strategy, another Kenneth Cole controversy, and how Brightnest can be a huge boon to the right person. Twitter Advertising, LinkedIn Mobile Revamp, $174 Facebook Fans: the Social 6 for 4/18/13

It's been a pretty busy week, and a very busy 24-hour period out there. LinkedIn's mobile overhaul isn't insignificant, so I'd advise you to pay attention to that, though Twitter did take a pretty big step forward in solving their advertising model -- and I'd have to salute them for that. Michael Vick, Pages Manager, FiveHundredPlus, & Medium: the Social 6 for 3/6/13

Well, it's not often I post more sensationalist, general interest posts, but maybe I should, as the Michael Vick story I shared ran away with the most number of clicks and shares. Given that, I just had to give it the top spot. Plenty more news you can use, however, including an analysis of Apple's time as a dominant stock, FiveHundredPlus' contact management solution, and the ongoing success of Facebook's (admittedly imperfect) Pages Manager app. Here's your Social 6:

Chris Hadfield, LinkedIn Marketing, and Facebook Redesign: the Social 6 Weekend Edition

Happy Monday, everyone! Over the weekend (I'm including Friday) there was plenty of activity around the Internet, with a good deal of attention, unsurprisingly, on Facebook's unveil of a new news feed this coming week. Besides news on the Facebook front, we also have how 20-somethings are being put to their limits in today's workplace, astronaut Chris Hadfield's homespun social media branding, and why LinkedIn is topping Facebook as the top social media platform according to top companies.
